Under the Health Services Manager’s guidance, the ideal candidate will assist with daily living tasks tailored to individual care plans. You will engage with clients and their families to address health and functional needs, prioritizing independence under the “home is best” model. This role requires compassion, effective communication, and the ability to respect cultural traditions while delivering care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Registered Nurses with client care tasks
• Provide personal care aligned with care plans
• Observe and report client progress and symptoms
• Administer prescribed medications accurately
• Maintain a protected and clean setting
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program
• Eligible for BC Care Aide Registry
• Robust verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of shíshálh culture and traditions
• Valid driver’s license and clean Criminal Record Check
