The Parts Manager will act on their own initiative to maximize the Parts Department’s efficiency, profitability, employee engagement and impact on customer experience, while collaborating with the other teams within the business.
Responsibilites:
- Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly parts are ordered while maximizing order efficiency.
- Keeping the parts department and showroom clean, organized, well-stocked, and safe at all times.
- Monitor and execute to hit internal KPI’s:
- ~ Inventory Turns
- ~ Order Accuracy
- ~ Inventory Accuracy (Monthly cycle counting)
- Monitor and manage Parts Surplus and Obsolescence
- Maximize and accurately use monthly part returns to ensure healthy parts inventory.
- Maximize the use of special terms and stock orders to achieve EOI’s stock-order goals.
- Ensure that credits and parts warranty claims are processed promptly and accurately
- Working directly with the Service Manager to ensure prompt, accurate delivery of parts to the shop.
- Monitor and execute to hit internal KPI’s:
- ~ Year over Year Growth
- ~ Parts breadth
- ~ Commitment volumes (meet target goals).
- Ensure that parts are accurately priced and are on invoices and work orders.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the parts department, which includes staff scheduling and accountability.
- Ensure all team members' training requirements are complete within required timeframes (maintaining and ensuring employees attend training programs).
- Work in conjunction with Human Resource/Branch Manager on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members.
- Onboard new members of the parts team.
- Responsible for customer experience with the parts department interactions.
- Ensure that parts are accurately charged to the customer
Qualifications:
- Experience managing a parts department or other relevant departments
- Specialized knowledge and experience in agriculture equipment and data management is considered an asset
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Post-secondary education in inventory management, marketing, business preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments and customers.
- Demonstrated experience in managing finance procedures and strategy
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
