We believe that our greatest opportunity is to create opportunity and meet people where they are.As a Senior Project Manager – AML/Regulatory:You will be a strategic delivery leader responsible for managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives focused on anti‑money laundering (AML) and regulatory compliance, with direct exposure to FINTRAC and FSRA requirements.The role demands excellence in delivery execution, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership. The Senior Project Manager – AML/Regulatory is accountable for project‑level advantages realization planning and management, ensuring that intended outcomes are defined, tracked, and achieved. This role leads cross‑functional teams to deliver complex regulatory initiatives, ensuring projects remain on track, reporting is accurate, and communications are coordinated across internal Risk, AML consultants, and executive stakeholders.Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver regulatory projects on schedule, maintain compliance with Canadian AML regulations, and produce clear, quantified reporting for executives and Boards of Directors. The Senior Project Manager builds trust with stakeholders, enables team performance, and contributes to a culture of innovation and accountability across the EPMO.*This is a 12-month contract opportunity!*What you will do:Project Delivery & ExecutionManage end‑to‑end delivery of AML and regulatory projects (~50 concurrent projects)Ensure compliance with FINTRAC (PCMLTFA) and FSRA requirementsDefine project scope, goals, and deliverablesPlan, execute, monitor, and close projects on time and within budgetTrack KPIs for scope, schedule, budget, and resourcesBuild and maintain project collateral (Gantt charts, presentations, reports)Coordinate reporting and messaging with AML consultants and internal Risk teamCoordinate team members and third‑party contractorsIdentify and manage dependencies, risks, and critical pathsMaintain integrated project plans and timelinesConduct post‑project reviews to confirm success criteriaEnsure adherence to standards, governance, and best practicesSupport Agile practices and provide executive status updatesCommunicate expectations and progress to stakeholdersTroubleshoot issues and manage status reportingBenefits Realization Planning & ManagementDefine and document expected project benefits in alignment with enterprise strategyDevelop tracking mechanisms and dashboards to monitor benefit achievementsEnsure benefits are transitioned to business owners and measured post‑implementationIntegrate benefits tracking and realization into Steering Committee discussions and Change RequestsProject Governance & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to EPMO governance frameworks (PMLC, Agile & Project Risk Framework), stage‑gate reviews, and delivery standardsNavigate bimodal governance across traditional and agile/hybrid projectsMaintain risk registers and elevate critical issues with mitigation strategiesEnsure effective operations while adhering to business controls, data security,
and privacy governanceProtect confidential data and ensure compliance with laws and regulationsMaintain an enterprise view when assessing risks inherent to operations and strategic decisionsEmbed business continuity planning within project delivery and risk mitigationStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationOrchestrate working teams and facilitate steering committees and cross‑functional planningLead executive reporting and communication for regulatory initiativesBuild strong relationships with executives, business owners, Risk & Compliance stakeholders, and delivery team.How you will succeed:ExperienceMinimum 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with 5+ years in AML/regulatory programsExperience preparing regulatory reporting and evidence for FINTRAC and FSRA audits/examsProven experience managing large‑scale, cross‑functional, and complex projectsDemonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as: MS Project, ADO, SharePoint, VisioEducationPostsecondary education in Business, Technology, or a related disciplineProfessional DesignationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.ACAMS or equivalent AML certification preferredFamiliarity with benefits realization frameworks such as PMI’s BRM, MSP, or Axelos P3M3 is highly desirable.Training & Technical ProficiencyProficiency in Microsoft 365 tools including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Copilot.Experience with low‑code/no‑code platforms (e.G., Power Apps), automation tools (e.G., Power Automate), and data visualization (e.G., Power BI).Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDeep understanding of Canadian AML regulations, including FINTRAC (PCMLTFA) and FSRA sector guidanceProven experience managing large projects with multiple concurrent workstreams in a regulated financial environmentAdvanced proficiency in project planning, execution, and benefits realizationSkilled in managing project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and change controlExpertise in risk identification, mitigation, and compliance with the Project Risk FrameworkAbility to manage integrated project plans, dependencies, and critical pathsProficient in leveraging AI tools, automation, and digital workflows to accelerate deliveryExperience embedding continuous improvement and agile practices into deliveryStrong communication and relationship‑building skills with executives, business owners, and delivery teamsAbility to lead change enablement activities and facilitate steering committeesSkilled in translating complex project information into clear, actionable insightsThis role represents an existing vacancy.
