Join us.AECOM Winnipeg is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings + Places business line. This position will be based out of Winnipeg, MB office with hybrid-work options available.The Buildings and Places Team is a vibrant and growing business line which delivers Engineering, architectural and project management services as well as planning and economic analysis for vertical construction projects.Project assignments may include commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, water / waste water and transit facilities.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Developing various types of reports including schematic design, design development, building assessment, and design build/assist scope of work documentsPreparing electrical drawings and specificationImplement design concept through the preparation and production of drawings to detail medium voltage power utility design coordination, low voltage power, fire alarm, lighting,



and specialty low voltage systems rough-ins (i.E. telecomm., intrusion control, security, CCTV, door access controls, etc.)Providing technical and administrative support through all phases of the projectConduct necessary research to gather industry, field, and project specific dataEnsuring design conforms with all applicable codes and standards; Working with primeconsultants, engineering consultants, client and contractors; responding to technicalqueriesConstruction administration responsibilities:Attending site meetings and site reviews complete with reportsShop drawing reviewsSI and CCN preparations.Contractor’s change quotation reviewsProgress billing reviewsFire alarm verification report reviewsIn order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess no less than:University Degree in Electrical Engineering plus six (6) years of electrical engineering experience working on institutional, commercial and light industrial projectsLicensed Professional Engineer.Please see preferred requirements below.Preferred QualificationsIdeally ten (10)+ years of electrical engineering experience working on institutional, commercial and light industrial projectsExperience leading electrical design and commissioning preferably encompassing: electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 25kV, variable speed drives, instrumentation & control systemsExcellent written and oral communications skillsProven interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary environmentMembership or eligibility for registration with APEGMas P.Eng. will be consideredExperience with a variety of computer aided design platforms including ETAP/SKM, Revit MEP,



AutoCAD and Microstation for the production of contract documentsFamiliarity with the Canadian Electrical Code (NEC or IEC exposure is an asset).Manitoba Building Code and National EnergyProficient in the use of power analysis software such as ETAP and SKM is an assetProficient in the use of ETAP/SKM power system design, AGi32 Lighting Design softwareFire Alarm verification and telecommunication experienceCompany paid relocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
