About the RoleReporting to the Vice‑President, Finance, the Corporate Controller is a senior technical accounting and financial reporting leader responsible for Torex Gold’s quarterly and annual external financial reporting, audit execution, and accounting governance. This role owns the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of public‑company financial disclosures and serves as the organization’s primary authority on technical accounting matters. This is the Torex way.What We’re Looking ForEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related disciplineCPA or CA designation (required)Additional education or exposure to SEC reporting, financial disclosure, or capital markets is considered an assetExperience7+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting, including public company reporting3 years working at the management level, preferably in a mining organizationProven experience leading quarterly and annual external financial reporting, including MD&A preparation and disclosure coordinationDemonstrated experience acting as primary liaison with external auditors and leading audit executionStrong technical accounting background with hands‑on application of IFRS and judgment‑based accounting mattersExperience in a mining company with operating assets is strongly preferred; experience in other capital‑intensive industries (e.G.,



oil & gas) may be consideredExposure to SEC reporting or US listing requirements is considered an assetExperience supporting business growth initiatives, including recent entities or M&A activity, is an assetSkillsStrong technical accounting and financial reporting expertiseHands‑on experience working with enterprise ERP systems; SAP / SAP S/4HANAexperience strongly preferredAbility to review, analyze, and troubleshoot financial data directly within an ERP environment to support consolidation, audit, and external reporting requirementsSolid understanding of ERP‑driven financial processes, including general ledger, sub‑ledger integrations, intercompany eliminations, and reporting workflowsExcellent project management and organizational skills; ability to managetightdeadlines and high volumes of workAbility to influence and drive outcomes across teams without direct authorityStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and defensible financial disclosuresSound professional judgment and risk assessment capabilitiesCollaborative leadership style with the ability to coach and develop team membersKey AccountabilitiesFinancial ReportingLead the delivery of quarterly and annual external financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirementsIssue reporting schedules and coordinate inputs across internal accounting teamsReview consolidated financial results and oversee the preparation of financial statementsDraft and coordinate the MD&A, partnering with senior leadership to ensure clear, accurate, and consistent disclosureLead implementation of new or updated disclosure requirementsPresent quarterly results and key reporting matters to senior leadershipDirect, review, and delegate work to the Assistant ControllerAccounting PolicyMonitor changes in accounting and reporting standards and recommend appropriate updatesResearch, develop, and issue technical accounting memos and policy guidanceProvide technical accounting advice to internal stakeholders, including subsidiary accounting teams, on complex or non‑routine mattersLiaise with external advisors as required on accounting interpretations and policy developmentDesigning Accounting Systems for New Business Growth and ChangesDevelop and implement accounting and reporting approaches to support business changes, new initiatives,
