Elevate campus security as an Electronic Systems Technician at the University of Alberta. This hands-on position focuses on the installation and maintenance of advanced building security systems.
This in-person role is based at North Campus, South Campus, and Campus Saint-Jean in Edmonton. You will support the programming, repair, and service of critical electronic systems, including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance, Electronic Key Press, and Intercoms. Your work is essential to ensuring the safety and security of the university's buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and program electronic building security systems
• Maintain and repair Access Control and Intrusion Detection systems
• Provide service and support for Video Surveillance setups
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time
• Ensure system functionality to protect university assets
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in electronic systems maintenance
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in an in-person team setting
• Knowledge of video surveillance technologies
• Understanding of security system protocols
