Advance your technical career as an Instrumentation Technician with Discovery, a leading North American Precious Metals Company. You’ll perform maintenance, repairs, and installations while working with cutting-edge electronic control systems at our Kidd Met Site.
This role involves reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and executing essential maintenance tasks, including system administration of the site’s Foxboro DCS system. You will manage electronic control systems, provide product support, and oversee installations. With your expertise, you will diagnose technical issues effectively, ensuring optimal production quality and compliance with environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer the Foxboro DCS system in office
• Maintain and troubleshoot electronic control systems
• Install and test various instrumentation devices
• Conduct hardware and software maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance and make recommendations
Requirements:
• 2-year diploma as an Instrumentation Technician
• 3 years of experience in an industrial setting
• Robust knowledge of PLCs and DCS
• Recent completion of CAAT and DAT testing
• Preference for dual tickets in electrical/instrumentation
