Southern Health-Santé Sud is looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant to join the Surgery team. The role involves assisting in pre-operative procedures, providing surgical support, and engaging in post-operative care. The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure quality, safety, and productive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with regional anesthesia procedures and patient monitoring
• Collaborate to improve Same Day Surgery services
• Provide first or second surgical assistance as needed




• Conduct post-operative patient assessments with the supervising physician
• Support discharge planning and implement ERAS principles
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program
• Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
• Experience in surgery or perioperative care preferred
• ACLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Solid clinical assessment and organizational skills
