Become a Peer Support Worker at the Phoenix Center and assist residents in their recovery journeys. Use your lived experience to foster healing and personal growth.
As a casual Peer Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing support and mentorship to clients facing challenges in substance use and mental health. Your role centers around building empowering relationships while collaborating with healthcare specialists to create a comprehensive support system for residents and alumni. Your lived experiences will be invaluable in offering hope and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively support and empower clients through mentoring
• Lead and facilitate peer recovery groups
• Observe and communicate key client insights
• Help clients access necessary community resources
• Maintain essential records and documentation
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent certification
• Around one year of experience related to recovery
• Valid driver’s license and first aid credentials
• Successful criminal and health clearance required
• Solid communication abilities in English
