Ciena is seeking an intern who is passionate about electro-optical designs to support its hardware team. This role is ideal for students studying Electrical, Optical, or Computer Engineering. You will perform testing on complex circuits, conduct essential electrical and optical measurements, and assist in documenting test plans. Additionally, you'll utilize the Cadence Allegro ECAD Tool Suite to design test jig circuits while collaborating with various engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Verify the functionality of electro-optical circuit packs
• Conduct DC to GHz measurements in the lab




• Review digital and analog control circuits
• Document testing processes and participate in teamwork
• Use Cadence tools for test circuit design
Requirements:
• Enrolled in an Electrical, Optical, or Engineering Physics program
• Required onsite presence, 5 days a week
• Robust motivation and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with laboratory testing tools preferred
• Knowledge of circuit design and soldering beneficial
