Be part of Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education as a Regional Term Educational Assistant at West Hants Middle School. This term role offers 5.50 hours per day supporting students' needs.
This position, from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, requires a dedicated Educational Assistant with a Human Services diploma or equivalent. You will assist students with mobility challenges and implement programs under the direction of teachers and other professionals. Moreover, you must maintain safety and contribute to fostering a respectful school workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with personal care and mobility needs
• Support behavior management and record data
• Accompany students for transportation needs as required




• Develop rapport and supervise students effectively
• Ensure a safe setting during school hours
Requirements:
• Human Services diploma or equivalent experience
• Current CPR and First Aid training
• Ability to lift and position students
• Specific healthcare support training as required
• Solid interpersonal skills to build student relationships
