About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Strategic Policy and Initiatives. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the development and delivery of the department's strategic policy, leading ministry-wide policy coordination, agency governance, and legislative planning. This role also involves overseeing priority research and acute care workforce-related initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to policy and cabinet submissions, and utilizing data and analytics to enhance research and workforce initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior management, experience in leading high-performing teams,
and a robust understanding of government and department priorities. Excellent communication, extensive knowledge of policy and legislative processes, and the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships are essential.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should be progressive leaders with a background that includes significant senior management experience. A related bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree preferred. The role demands a practiced relationship builder who can engage stakeholders and has familiarity with Federal, Provincial, and Territorial partners. The candidate must have a proven track record in policy development and coordination, as well as an applied understanding of government decision-making, legislative frameworks, and accountability processes. The capacity to inspire and empower change-agile teams is also a key qualification for this role.
