Responsibilities
Process payments from brokers and policyholders.
Monitor and respond to inquiries.
Monitor policyholder and broker past due accounts.
Prepare and process monthly broker statements and corresponding commission payments.
Review, organize and code general expenses.
Prepare digital payments to vendors, brokers and other payees.
Assist with formatting month end reports and reconciliation to the general ledger.
Maintain petty cash fund and process incoming funds.
Create manual journal entries based on pre-established criteria or direction from more senior staff.
Train and provide guidance to clerical staff.
Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications
Education: One-year business accountancy diploma from an approved institution or completion of 60 credits toward a B.Comm. degree in accounting.
Experience: One year in the insurance industry or in accounting.
