As a Continuing Care Assistant, you'll help residents with essential daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and mealtime assistance. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, supporting the creation of individualized care plans and documenting vital observations, all ensuring residents feel valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with personal hygiene and care activities
• Support restorative care and address special needs
• Record resident information and care notes accurately
• Facilitate resident engagement in leisure activities
• Carry out light housekeeping and health-related duties
Requirements:
• Graduation from CCA program or equivalent education
• Registration with Nova Scotia’s CCA registry required
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is needed
• Flexibility to work various hours and shifts
• Experience in long-term care preferred
