About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice-President for Financial Services to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in financial stewardship, governance, and operational excellence. This role involves developing and advancing financial strategies that align with the academic mission and long-term institutional priorities, as well as ensuring the effective management of the company's financial resources. The AVP will have executive oversight of financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, procurement, and financial compliance.



Key responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, championing financial sustainability initiatives, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Applicants for the Associate Vice-President, Financial Services position at the company should hold a CPA designation and an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree being a qualified asset. A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior executive financial and budget management role, preferably in a complex and regulated workplace, is required. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in financial governance, internal controls, and risk management, as well as experience in presenting financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.
