Due to an increase in workload, we are hiring multiple Mechanic positions at the Army Training Centre – Central in Meaford. The role reports to the Repair Supervisor and focuses on repairing automotive and heavy equipment, small engines, buses, and miscellaneous equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques
Maintain detailed service records and documentation
Keep work areas clean, organized, and secure at all times
Look up and order parts as required

Education Requirements
Must have 310T




Truck and Coach Technician (preferred) and/or Automotive Service Technician

Work Experience Requirements
Valid DZ‑Class Driver License
Clean driving record
2 years of mechanical experience

Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements
Proficient knowledge and understanding of the correct use, maintenance and safety procedures of hand tools and powered equipment related to this work
Knowledge of air brakes and hydraulic systems
Robust troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance; continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is mandatory
