Position Summary

Temporary full‑time (1.0 FTE) Junior/ Senior High Mathematics Teacher at Matthew Halton High School, Pincher Creek, Alberta.

Contract commences on August 25, 2026 and ends on June 29, 2027.

Responsibilities
Teach Alberta curriculum in junior and senior high mathematics.
Develop and implement outcome‑based assessments and multiple forms of assessment such as portfolios and projects.

Qualifications
Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula.
Strong understanding of outcomes‑based assessment practices.
Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team.
Commitment to building relationships with students to create a secure, caring and welcoming learning setting.
Strong belief in parent involvement and communication,



including regular communication with home beyond the use of report cards.
Robust organizational and classroom management skills.
Experience working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations, Metis and Inuit students.
Ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting.
Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
