About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Construction Financial Control & Reporting to join their agile team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the finance department, serving as a strategic partner to both the leadership and construction & engineering teams. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial aspects of the company's construction projects, with a focus on capital expenditure tracking, cash flow forecasting, and driving value with the construction team. The VP will be responsible for real-time tracking and reporting of all construction CapEx, identifying cost variances, and providing early warnings for any potential cost overruns or delays.



They will also be involved in change management, setting financial controls, and developing models to accurately forecast project costs.

Applicants should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in project control or financial planning within the data center, infrastructure, or heavy construction industry, with a solid preference for those with a background in the data center industry. The role requires a skilled with a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business administration, advanced Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems and project management tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects valued at over $100 million, be adept at developing and tracking project metrics, and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A CPA designation is an asset. The VP will also be expected to work closely with the procurement team to optimize capital efficiency and manage vendor relationships.
