The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice-President, Academic to play a pivotal role in shaping the academic strategy of the institution. The successful candidate will be the Chief Academic Officer, providing leadership in areas such as teaching and learning, student and faculty recruitment, academic policies, and faculty relations. This role also involves overseeing Indigenous engagement, the library, and the university's galleries and museums. The ideal candidate will be a respected academic leader with a solid record in scholarship and extensive senior leadership experience in a complex university workplace. They should be deeply committed to student success, teaching excellence, and research impact, and be adept at fostering a culture of respect,



accountability, and inclusivity.

Key responsibilities for the Provost and Vice-President, Academic include working closely with Deans, faculty, and partners to advance academic excellence, innovation in teaching and learning, and an exceptional student experience. The role requires a strategic, collegial, and values-driven leader who can effectively translate vision into action, align academic priorities with resources, and promote transparent, inclusive decision-making. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the university's resource planning, financial sustainability, and engaging with government and external partners. A deep understanding of the Canadian higher education landscape and a commitment to embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization into all aspects of the academic enterprise are essential.
