In this position, you will report to the Senior Engineer, Mechanical, engaging in technical assignments across the Rail Cars & Shops Department. Your responsibilities will encompass diagnosing failures, planning maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Contribute to a diverse team dedicated to enhancing public transit services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and eliminate technical failures on rail systems
• Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance
• Guide staff in technical procedures and operational improvements
• Develop training materials for departmental SOPs
• Prepare analytical reports and correspondence related to assignments
Requirements:
• Completion of an Engineering Technology diploma or a relevant degree
• Certification with OACETT or PEO registration is an asset
• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical system diagnostics
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Possession of a valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license
