The Powerline Technician plays a vital role under the guidance of the Field Supervisor, focusing on maintenance and inspection of electrical distribution systems. Candidates must be well-versed in safety practices and effective at problem-solving in challenging conditions. You will lead projects and mentor apprentices, ensuring compliance with all safety standards while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and troubleshoot underground and overhead electrical systems
• Erect and repair power line structures and cables
• Participate in daily safety and planning meetings




• Conduct regular inspections of high-voltage equipment
• Assist in training and mentoring apprentice technicians
Requirements:
• Required Red Seal certification as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician
• Excellent knowledge of EUSR and safety legislation
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
