Be part of The Embassy's agile team as an In office Linux Systems Administrator for a short-term contract in Vancouver, BC. Specialize in deploying and securing self-hosted communication solutions.
As an Oscar-nominated production house, The Embassy seeks a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to focus on deploying email, team chat, and video conferencing systems. This role will require collaboration with the IT team while ensuring thorough documentation for future support. You’ll manage an essential project through its lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess Linux server infrastructure for deployment readiness
• Configure Mailcow, Rocket.Chat, and Jitsi Meet platforms
• Set up and verify DNS records for email delivery




• Create user accounts for more than 50 staff members
• Document onboarding processes and security best practices
Requirements:
• 3+ years in deploying self-hosted Mailcow
• Experience with Rocket.Chat, Mattermost, and Jitsi Meet
• Proficient in Docker and network security
• Solid collaboration and documentation skills
• Proven ability to manage projects independently
