This role supports the strategic sourcing and category management efforts of a large organization. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure they have optimal suppliers and compliant contracts to facilitate their requirements. Your expertise in procurement strategies is essential to maintaining effective governance and procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create sourcing strategies based on project requirements
• Partner with project managers to define sourcing parameters
• Conduct supplier market research to identify vendors
• Oversee competitive sourcing events and RFQ processes
• Lead evaluations and support negotiations effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years in strategic sourcing and procurement
• Proficient in SAP for purchase requisition processing
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Understanding of Indigenous procurement frameworks is an asset
