Maintenance Assistant - Full Time, Permanent

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with general maintenance duties at AVENS– A Community for Seniors. This position can be part-time or full-time term permanent. Please indicate whether you prefer part-time or full time when applying. Duties include general labour and repairs, painting, general landscaping, equipment checks, and preventative maintenance for the Aven Manor, AvenCottages, and independent housing.

Qualifications
Education or training related to maintenance, with a preference for plumbing, mechanical, and electrical
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work outside for long periods of time, and to work with limited supervision
Must be able to obtain, provide,



and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
