About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to join their team as a senior leader and the first-ever in this pivotal role. The successful candidate will be the key liaison between the Founders and the Developer team, with a mission to take on end-to-end ownership of engineering strategy, team growth, technical vision, and delivery. This hands-on technical leader will be responsible for setting the technical bar, unblocking the team, and actively participating in production code and complex problem-solving. The role also involves implementing process and people best practices and leading the growth of the engineering team from 5 to 20+ members in the near term.





Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership within a B2B SaaS product company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling engineering teams and building hiring strategies, as well as strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS. Familiarity with MongoDB and deep knowledge of the AWS ecosystem is essential. Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated settings with a focus on compliance is highly preferred. The role requires a strategic leader who can also contribute technically, and the ability to work in a rapid-paced, agile environment is a must.
