Support infection control efforts at Kelowna General Hospital as a Registered Nurse Infection Control Practitioner. This relief full time role engages directly in enhancing safety through proactive healthcare practices.
We seek a Registered Nurse with recent experience in acute or long-term care, particularly in infection prevention strategies like routine practices and risk assessments. The Practitioner will work alongside a diverse healthcare team to monitor and develop infection control initiatives, thereby improving the quality of clinical care across facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in infection control assessments and planning
• Educate healthcare staff about infection prevention




• Monitor and report on infection control compliance
• Assist in outbreak management initiatives
• Redefine care practices based on evidence-informed methodologies
Requirements:
• Nursing degree and BCCNM registration
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience
• Enrollment in an approved infection control course
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
