We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Recreation Aide who is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences and contributing to a positive team environment.

What You’ll Do
Lead and support resident activities based on their needs, abilities, and interests, adjusting programs as needed with guidance from the supervisor.
Work closely with the recreation team, sharing updates on resident participation and engagement.
Facilitate, encourage and support residents to join a variety of meaningful and enjoyable programs.
Deliver activity sessions such as arts and crafts, music, sports, cooking, gardening, and exercise; set up materials, provide demonstrations, and document resident participation.
Support outings by ensuring residents have appropriate clothing and equipment, coordinating movement, and assisting with activity instruction.
Maintain accurate attendance records for all programs.
Guide and support volunteers during activities,



ensuring they understand program expectations and techniques.

What You Bring
Food Safe Certificate is required.
Completion of a recognized Recreation or Rehabilitation Certificate is preferred.
Two years of recent experience supporting seniors in a housing or care environment—especially delivering programs within a social model—is considered a strong asset.
First Aid and current CPR certification are required.
Valid Class 4 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
A transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
