Become a key player in fisheries engineering at a top firm in Halifax, NS as a Mid-Level Project Engineer – Fisheries. Spearhead cutting-edge design in fish passage projects while leveraging your engineering expertise.
You will engage in the planning and execution of fish passage initiatives, focusing on structural design and hydraulic analyses. With at least six years of relevant experience, you'll work within a multidisciplinary setting that influences positive ecological outcomes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of project guidelines are essential as you contribute to impactful projects across Canada and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute structural designs and hydraulic analyses for fishways
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists on project objectives
• Develop designs through effective consultation with various disciplines
• Utilize 2D and 3D modeling tools in design processes
• Build relationships with regulatory bodies and project stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BEng)
• Qualified Engineer licensure or plans to achieve it
• Minimum of six years experience in fisheries engineering
• Structural design expertise, especially concrete and steel
• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver's license
