Drive safety initiatives at Magna as a Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist. Oversee Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems while ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
This role is vital for maintaining a secure workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors. As part of Magna's Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group, you'll implement and manage safety programs consistent with ISO45001 and ISO14001. You will also conduct audits and provide training to new employees, ensuring safety measures are understood and executed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS)
• Conduct audits and inspections relevant to safety and compliance
• Provide health and safety training to new employees




• Drive Zero Harm initiative, managing quarterly goals
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Knowledge of OHSA, Regulations, and WSIA
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Experience with safety audits and training programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
