About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Capital Markets and Financing. This senior leadership position is pivotal in the organization's expansion across various real estate strategies. The successful candidate will be tasked with the origination, structuring, and execution of cost-effective debt capital, with a focus on development, stabilized rentals, self-storage JVs, and acquisitions. Responsibilities include leading negotiations, due diligence, and closings, as well as maintaining a robust pipeline of lender relationships and market intelligence. The role also involves developing and implementing innovative capital stack solutions, introducing new financing products,



and building a robust in-house capital raising function.

Applicants for the Managing Director role should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in real estate debt financing, brokerage, or capital markets, with a proven track record in complex financings. The ideal candidate will possess strong credit analysis and financial modeling skills, an advanced degree or skilled designation, and an extensive lender network. Strategic thinking, expert negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple closings are essential. The role requires a collaborative leader who can mentor teams and effectively communicate financing strategies. Experience with Indigenous/First Nations financing programs is considered an asset.
