Join BC Cancer at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC, as a General Practitioner specializing in Oncology. This full time role supports outpatient medical oncology services within a team-oriented team setting.
In this role, you will engage with patients while reporting to the Head of Medical Oncology, BC Cancer-Kelowna. You’ll benefit from a supportive learning environment where no prior oncology experience is required. Your involvement will contribute to BC's high cancer control success rate, alongside creative drug therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general outpatient medical oncology services
• Collaborate with the medical oncology team
• Participate in patient care, research, and teaching
• Uphold reconciliation initiatives with Indigenous communities
• Develop expertise in oncology through department support
Requirements:
• Eligible for licensure as a specialist in British Columbia
• Canadian certification (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP)
• Commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety
• Familiarity with anti-racism reports
• Enthusiasm for collaborative patient care
