Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar

At Sims Corner, we believe that perfectly aged steaks, big wines, and genuine hospitality make an incredible guest experience. Our culinary team has been a major pillar in what makes us Atlantic Canada's premier steakhouse. We focus on fresh Island raised products, using one hundred percent Island beef, along with fresh locally sourced produce.

As a Prep Cook, You Will
Complete daily preparation of food
Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
Organize work areas as well as storage areas
Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation
Communicate with kitchen staff, cooks, Sous Chef, and the Head Chef
Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef




Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Follow all operations policies and procedures
Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

Who You Are
Positive and outgoing personality
Flexibility - Our back-of-house staff will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Love for building strong relations with team members
Must possess a desire for personal and professional development
Ability to multitask and maintain high energy in a quick‑paced workplace
A desire to have fun at work; when you have fun, our guests do too

What You Bring
A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset
Prep cooking experience and product knowledge are considered an asset
Good eye for detail and accuracy
Food safety knowledge is required
