The City of Hamilton is looking for an Experienced Truck and Coach Technician to diagnose and repair various mechanical and electronic systems in transit vehicles. Your expertise will be pivotal in performing inspections, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and utilizing OEM software for effective diagnostics. This position requires a solid focus on quality and detail to minimize service disruptions across the bus fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough inspections and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, and other components




• Maintain accurate repair records in Enterprise Asset Management
• Provide on-road service as needed for transit vehicles
• Follow health and safety regulations during all tasks
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Truck and Coach Technician Licence (310T)
• Experience with diesel and alternative fuel vehicles
• Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence; ability to obtain Class “C” with “Z” endorsements
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to work evening, night, and weekend hours
