Backwoods Energy Services is seeking a dedicated Matting Operator to join our renowned team. You will be responsible for the secure and effective installation of access mats to support infrastructure projects across various industries, including oil and gas. Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transport and install access mats on site
• Operate heavy machinery like skid steers and excavators
• Complete equipment inspections and document findings
• Minimize environmental impact during mat installation
• Attend daily toolbox meetings for safety planning
Requirements:
• Previous experience in heavy equipment operation
• Class 5 Driver's Licence; Class 1 or 3 an asset
• Robust understanding of workplace safety
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks outdoors
• Excellent communication skills with teamwork focus
