The Recreational Therapist will liaise with the interdisciplinary team, reporting to the Director of Care, while adhering to the Behavioural Support Ontario initiative. Responsibilities include assessing individual needs and implementing cutting-edge recreational therapy that addresses responsive behaviors. You will also create supportive environments for families and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapeutic recreation
• Promote social engagement through tailored activities
• Document therapeutic activities and their outcomes




• Collaborate with care partners for responsive strategies
• Engage in professional development and quality improvement
Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreational Therapy from an accredited program
• Membership with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario
• Minimum two years’ experience in long-term care
• Solid understanding of dementia and mental health challenges
• Current explicit Criminal Record Check required
