Covenant House, a leader in youth support services, is hiring a full-time Housing Worker for a six-month contract. You will assist youth in achieving housing stability, helping them navigate the welfare system and connect with vital community resources. Your proactive engagement will promote their independence and overall well-being in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement residential care policies for youth
• Complete assessments and housing history for each young person
• Support youth during negotiations with landlords




• Help develop and implement housing and discharge plans
• Assist in organizing furniture and essential acquisitions
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in relevant social services
• Two years experience in youth care or residential settings
• Knowledge of housing resources and welfare systems
• Strong communication and data entry skills
• CPR and First Aid training preferred
