Enhance mental health services at the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a Psychologist I. Support bariatric clients through individual assessments and group therapy in an outpatient setting.
In this vital role at the RAH Bariatric Surgery Clinic, you will deliver psychological services to clients preparing for surgery. Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, registered nurses, and dieticians, to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy to address the complex psychological needs of patients and promote effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychological assessments and consultations
• Lead and co-lead psychotherapy groups for bariatric clients




• Develop individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team
• Provide supervision to provisional psychologists and students
• Contribute to program and policy development
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited program
• Registration or eligibility with College of Alberta Psychologists
• Recent experience in mental health care settings
• Solid skills in assessment and patient care
• Ability to work in group therapy settings
