Shape future soil scientists as a Teaching Assistant with the Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba. This role involves preparing instructional materials and supporting students in Soil Fertility SOIL 0630 K01.
The University of Manitoba is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Seminar Leader for a September to December course in Soil Fertility. You will coordinate with the course supervisor and attend lectures, helping create a rich educational workplace. Marking assignments and providing student consultations are key responsibilities to support learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend orientation and course planning meetings
• Prepare instructional materials for tutorials and labs
• Mark student assignments and exams fairly
• Maintain scheduled consultations with students
• Adapt and develop audio-visual materials as needed
Requirements:
• Relevant academic background in soil science
• Empathetic approach to student interactions
• Proficiency in the English language
• Previous instructional experience is preferred
• Must be a full time University of Manitoba student
