Elevate workplace safety as a Health and Safety Coordinator for the City of Woodstock. This full time contract position focuses on implementing health and safety programs and training.
Reporting to the Manager of Health & Safety, you will coordinate essential health and safety training, develop policies, and assist various departments in improving safety practices. Your leadership will ensure workplace compliance with regulatory standards and foster a safer environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and facilitate safety training sessions
• Implement and audit the Health & Safety program
• Research and update safety policies and SOPs
• Investigate workplace accidents and concerns
• Track injury data and report trends
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a health and safety role
• Robust knowledge of safety legislation and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety software
• Valid Ontario driver’s license with personal vehicle access
Lead efforts to enhance safety and well-being in Woodstock's workplace setting.
