This full-time role involves reporting to the Deputy City Solicitor while providing various legal services related to land development. You will engage in drafting agreements, leading initiatives, and managing teams of legal specialists, all while fostering a culture of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: • Draft and negotiate standard and complex legal agreements • Provide oversight on real estate legal services initiatives • Manage legal staff and support their career development • Review policies and assist in draft bylaws as necessary • Backup support for the Deputy City Solicitor
Requirements: • LL.B. or J.D. degree with good standing in Ontario • At least five years of experience in municipal real estate • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accessibility compliance • Demonstrated knowledge of land use planning legislation
