Have you ever thought about who shapes the buildings that serve our communities—fire halls, police stations, and other civic facilities?
At Johnston Davidson Architecture (JDa), we design essential public buildings that support and strengthen growing communities. We are looking for a Business Development Coordinator to join our team, help us win proposals and communicate meaningful work.
This role sits at the intersection of design, writing, and strategy. You will lead the creation of architectural proposals in response to RFPs—crafting clear, compelling narratives and producing visually refined submissions using Adobe InDesign and related tools. Beyond proposals, you will contribute to broader marketing and business development initiatives, helping position the firm for continued growth.
What you will do:
Lead proposal development from RFP review through to final submission
Write, edit, and coordinate content with internal teams
Design polished, professional layouts using Adobe InDesign
Contribute to marketing initiatives, award submissions, and social media accounts
Update the company website to reflect current projects, personnel and other achievements
Support strategic business development initiatives aligned with the firm’s growth objectives
We are looking for someone who:
Has a background in business, marketing, or a related field
Brings robust writing, editing, and organizational skills
Is highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign is essential)
Has a genuine appreciation for architecture and design
Thrives in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently
If you are interested in shaping how meaningful architecture is communicated—and want to be part of a collaborative, design-focused studio—we would like to hear from you.
