The Indigenous Liaison
Nurse plays a crucial role in planning and implementing care for clients dealing with mental health challenges, chronic illnesses, and other health needs. Your expertise will ensure that nursing practices align with cultural values while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. This role may require travel to remote communities to provide necessary healthcare services. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and evaluate nursing care for Indigenous clients
- Provide consultations and health teaching to patients
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Document care processes and patient progress accurately
- Promote self-care and cultural sensitivity in care delivery Requirements:
- Registered with BC College of Nurses as RN/RPN
- Valid BC Driver's License necessary
- At least two years' experience in Indigenous health
- Knowledge of community resources and healthcare services
