Metro Vancouver is seeking a Buyer I to work full time in Procurement and Real Estate Services. This position requires sound knowledge of public procurement practices and the ability to manage end-to-end public solicitations effectively. You will liaise with various stakeholders, analyze bids, and negotiate favorable terms, all while supporting client departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed specifications and tender documents
• Negotiate price discounts and delivery terms with suppliers
• Review and ensure appropriate purchasing treatment of contracts




• Conduct research and analysis on products and services
• Maintain purchasing records and generate reports
Requirements:
• Completion of 12th grade with purchasing program courses
• Knowledge of municipal purchasing policies and procedures
• Familiarity with contract law and negotiation
• Ability to evaluate quality and service factors
• Valid Driver's Licence for British Columbia
