Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on a 9-month contract. The key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are:
Responsible for the end-to-end process related to the monthly consolidation process.
Provides guidance and best practice relating to complex intercompany transactions.
Responsible for ensuring consolidation and financial statements are in accordance with ASPE.
Leads the consolidation automation project.
Responsible for the quarterly compliance process including the preparation of MD& A documents and the calculations of required compliance ratios.
Responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements with notes, cash flow proof
Responsible for addressing auditor requests related to consolidation, intercompany transactions and financial statements
Responsible to assess the impact of recent accounting standards
Responsible for the review and assessment of recent complex transactions
Responsible for government surveys
Responsible for responding to financial related requests from external parties
Supervise and coach project accountant(s).
Other duties as required by the business.
