My client is seeking an experienced Controller to join their construction team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting overall business performance across active construction projects.This is a key leadership role suited for a finance skilled with strong experience in project-based accounting settings.Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollManage full cycle accounting and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesPrepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting packageMonitor project/job costing, WIP reporting, and construction-specific financial metricDevelop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedureManage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activitiesCoordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisorEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementSupport leadership with financial analysis, forecasting,



and strategic decision-makingSupervise and mentor accounting/finance team membersIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fie5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based environmentStrong understanding of job costing, WIP, and project accounting principlesExperience with ERP systems (e.G., Sage, Jonas, Viewpoint, or similarStrong Excel and financial modelling skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilitiesStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teamsIdeal Candidate Profile
