Overview
Project Manager (ISO Certification Readiness)Location:
Winnipeg, Manitoba or Canadian Prairies (Remote/hybrid options may be considered within region)Duration:
12–18 months contractEngagement Type:
ConsultantThe role will lead and coordinate an organization-wide initiative supporting ISO certification readiness (e.G., ISO 9001 or relevant standards based on client scope). The role will ensure structured execution of gap assessments, process alignment, documentation readiness, and cross-functional coordination to meet certification requirements. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing ISO preparation or certification readiness projects, including working with auditors, process owners, and compliance teams.Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for ISO certification readiness programDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and governance structureCoordinate internal stakeholders across operations, quality, IT, HR, and complianceOversee gap assessments against applicable ISO standardsEnsure documentation, processes, and controls are aligned with ISO requirementsFacilitate workshops and working sessions with process ownersManage risks, dependencies,
and escalation pathwaysLiaise with external ISO consultants and auditors as requiredProvide regular progress reporting to senior leadership and steering committeesEnsure timely completion of deliverables within certification timelineRequired Experience & Qualifications
7+ years of project management experience in complex organizational environmentsDirect experience supporting ISO certification readiness or ISO audits (mandatory)Solid understanding of ISO frameworks (e.G., ISO 9001, ISO 27001, or similar)Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in regulated or process-driven environmentsStrong knowledge of process mapping, documentation standards, and governance structuresPMP or equivalent certification considered an assetExcellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skillsAbility to work independently in a consulting capacityAdditional Requirements
