This full-time position requires an individual adept in crisis intervention and community-based service delivery. Work directly with youth facing challenges in their educational workplace and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective service coordination. Your role will strengthen the mental health support available within the Six Nations community and its surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist youth in crisis with immediate mental health interventions
• Consult on treatment and safety plans in schools
• Provide intensive short-term counseling and support services
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices
• Collaborate with families and caregivers for effective service delivery
Requirements:
• University degree in Social Work or related field with 1-2 years’ experience
• Registration in 'Good Standing' with the Ontario College of Social Workers
• Knowledge of effective counseling strategies for marginalized youth
• Certification in mental health support training programs
• Familiarity with the impacts of multi-generational trauma
