Reporting to the Supervisor, Health Protection, this position is integral to health safety. You will inspect food outlets, swimming facilities, and care institutions, ensuring compliance with provincial health guidelines. Additionally, you will respond to potential health hazards and conduct educational outreach to the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect various public health facilities for compliance
• Manage complaints related to health issues and safety practices
• Collect and analyze samples during outbreak situations
• Conduct community education sessions on health practices
• Keep accurate records per regional policy
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent
• Current Canadian Public Health Inspection Certificate
• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license
• Knowledge of health regulations and operational standards
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
