The First Nation Support Worker focuses on enhancing educational experiences for students at Port Hardy Secondary School. Collaborating with teachers, this position assists with classroom learning, monitors student progress, and maintains essential records. Experience with First Nations students and cultural knowledge is key to thriving in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the educational program for all students
• Assist individual and small groups with classroom tasks
• Monitor student progress and academic achievements




• Collaborate with staff for smooth student transitions
• Participate in the First Nations Program Team
Requirements:
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent
• Minimum one year of post-secondary education related to the field
• Understanding of Kwakwaka’wakw culture and traditions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in documentation and records management
Support students academically and culturally as part of the team at Port Hardy Secondary School.
