Inventory Control Associate

Reports to: Department Leader, Inventory Control. Location: Arc’One, New Westminster.

About the Role

As an Inventory Control Associate you assist in all inventory related operations in the Distribution Centre. You work with a team of Supervisors, Department Leader and Associates to ensure deadlines and safety standards are met. You are a quick, adaptable learner with excellent attention to details and ensure inventory count accuracy at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitors and maintains accurate inventory levels; tracks and investigates internal inventory movement such as shipping/picking orders, receiving goods, replenishing, putting away, etc. to resolve any inventory issues and maintain inventory integrity.
- Compiles inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, and stock on hand, using manual or computerized inventory systems.
- Performs physical cycle counts of inventory and reconciles actual count to computer-generated reports.
- Performs Bin Denial confirmation daily and resolves inventory issues promptly.
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, uploading master data & fixed bin set up, following up emails and reporting daily work/performance to supervisor/team lead.
- Guides or trains new staff, temporary staff, and volunteers performing related work.
- Collaborates with other teams to achieve DC KPI.
- Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications





- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience or knowledge in an inventory control/audit role in a high‑activity facility.
- Proficiency in learning and operating ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana / EWM).
- Systematic approach to inventory audit counts, creative problem solving, proactive identification of root causes and development of solutions.
- Willingness to share knowledge and train other team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to handle objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate various machinery such as order picker, high reach truck and walkie, as needed.

Compensation

The starting pay for distribution workers is CAD$ 22.40 hourly at the time of this posting, with a reasonable estimated pay range of CAD$ 22.40 – 23.80 within 12 months upon skill assessment. The range details above reflect base pay only and do not include the competitive bonus program and advantages that the organization offers.
